Trade shows, seminars, and other events by professional lawn care organizations in the Green Industry are great places to learn more about your field and to keep your knowledge up-to-date with the latest techniques and equipment.
All year long lawn care maintenance gardeners and landscape contractors will be attending trade shows and expostions in ever increasing numbers. These are successful men and women, employers and employees who have discovered a way to get a jump on their competition or learn more about their chosen profession.
|
Why? Because lawn care and garden trade shows are an excellent way to learn about new products and equipment innovations. They are also an excellent place to acquire the latest information regarding the specifications of fertilizers, amendments, herbicides, equipment, irrigation products, and more.
There are shows and seminars for the gardener, landscape contractor, nurseryman, irrigation specialist, grounds and lawn care maintenance technician, and other specialists in the Green Industry.
Manufacturers, dealers, and suppliers are there ready and willing to talk to you about their products and services. If you have questions or comments about a product or landscape technique, a trade show is a good place to get those answers and to be heard.
These events are for the seasoned professional and for those just starting their own landscape or garden business.
Make plans to enhance your business by attending a trade show, seminar, or conference in your area.

Southern Nursery Association Annual Research Conference and Trade Show
The Southern Nursery Association (SNA) is holding it's annual trade show at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Ga starting on July 30th.
Representing over 45% of horticultural production in the U.S., The World's Showcase of Horticulture® has gained the outstanding reputation as America's number one wholesale lawn and garden show, and is recognized as the gateway to the world of horticulture. Each August thousands of industry professionals come to Atlanta to get a head start on buying for the new business year ahead... to locate those special, hard-to-find products... to see the latest trends, developments and technology... to establish contacts for those profitable new plants, products and services, to reach new markets... and to network with industry leaders. It's really simple - if you buy or sell plants or related products - this show is for you!
This show combines the SNA's Research Conference and "World's Showcase of Horticulture" into one trade show with more than 800 exhibitors.
The exhibits are organized into themed sections:
- EquipmentWorld: equipment for production, installation and maintenance
- FoliageWorld: tropical plants and foliage for retail and interiorscape
- RetailWorld: garden gifts, visual merchandising, POP, POS, new product demonstrations
- WaterWorld: ponds, supplies, aquatic plants, irrigation, product demonstrations, and Pondapalooza - the only national conference for the water garden trade
- ColorWorld: greenhouse products, new flower displays and new varieties
Of special interest to landscape contractors and lawn care operators is the new landscape track in the expanded pre-show TechShop Educational Series. The TechShop, co-sponsored by the Georgia Green Industry Association, Hortica, Arthur A. "Buck" Jones & Associates, Inc., and the USDA Risk Management Agency, will be on Wednesday, July 30. TechShop is organized into eight concurrent tracks covering more than 40 educational topics:
